  • Participate in an overview meeting with the project communications team led by HFHI and project leads to gain clarity on requirements of consultancy and execution of the assignment.
  • Film both a-roll & b-roll, conduct on-camera interviews and take photographs of the activities, following HFHI guidelines and based on the specific shoot requirements as per the ToR.
  • Properly name, organize and upload all captured content to a cloud-based platform to allow Habitat for Humanity and project partners to access and download for use.
  • Submit hard copies as well as scanned copies of all consent forms.
Duration
  • The community engagement will be conducted between February 2026 and April 2026. This represents calendar period and not consultancy days. Photography and videography will be done in accordance with an agreed schedule.
Experience and qualification
  • 5+ years' experience conducting professional-level videography and photography. Previous experience in documenting activities carried out by development or humanitarian organizations, or community-based projects in Kenya will be an advantage.
  • Experience working amongst vulnerable populations
  • Ability to operate under strict time limits and apply high production and technical standards.
  • Experience conducting video interviews
  • Familiar with informed consent and committed to following Habitat for Humanity's consent policy for videography and photography
  • Ability to provide own filming/photography equipment, including professional cameras and audio equipment
  • Ability to communicate and conduct interviews in English and Swahili (communication in the local Dholuo dialect will be an advantage) including translating the interviews in English.
