
Junior Nature-Based Solutions and Climate Consultant at UN-Habitat

- Develop and maintain multi-hazard risk assessment maps and technical reports focusing on prioritizing urban water resilience and nature-based solutions strategies.
- Create specialized spatial analyses and cartographic outputs for the urban crisis prevention to support regional planning initiatives.
- Design and maintain the projects, tools and partners dashboard on public space and urban health, enabling monitoring of accessibility and quality indicators.
- Contribute geospatial expertise to the “Integrating Urban Health in Urban and Territorial Planning” directory.
- Provide technical GIS support to the Climate and Nature thematic area, including vulnerability mapping and intervention planning
- Generate spatial analyses for the Social Inclusion theme to identify underserved communities and opportunity areas
- Create high-quality cartographic outputs and interactive web maps to visualize patterns, systems, and potential intervention sites
- Design and implement the GIS portal for selected countries including Colombia, Senegal, and India, ensuring compatibility with local data structures and user needs
- Ensure all geospatial products adhere to UN-Habitat’s data standards and protocols
- Facilitate GIS capacity building for stakeholders and partners through workshops and technical guidance
- Experience & Academic At least two (2) years of experience working in urban planning and design with direct proven experience in drawing and preparing plan graphical material using computer assisted design tools is required.
- University degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Planning or Urban Studies is required.
