Job Description:Lead the Kenya Extracts organization towards world class manufacturing standards of quality, safety, environmental performance, customer service, productivity and cost management, ensuring that the business operates within all company policy and legislation.To be a role model to the organisation by demonstrating uncompromising quality and service food factory standards, driving compliance, and leading by example. Develop the skills of people and team culture to become an empowered, energised organisation which is continually challenging itself to improve performance to world class standards.Responsibilities:⢠Provide leadership and a vision for the Extracts Kenya business.⢠Lead to the continuous culture change required to achieve and maintain world class food factory operational standards.⢠Drive compliance in food factory standards.⢠Accountable for EBITDA and Working Capital performance, leading the preparation and presentation of the Extracts Kenya budget.⢠Set policies and procedures and ensure compliance across the organisation.⢠Champion health, safety and environmental performance.⢠Maintain an active dialogue and example in order to maintaining our 'license to operate'.⢠Embed a culture of continuous improvement, building on the work of previous Kaizen initiative.⢠Develop, train and empower the Extracts organisation to enhance the skills and capability at all levels of the organisation, using robust performance and development processes.⢠Ensure excellent industrial relations are maintained, conducting negotiations with the workforce representatives as required.⢠Monitor service levels from Estate managed services, using SLAs, KPIs and other incentive mechanisms to drive performance.⢠Lead on providing a quality service to end customers, responding quickly to enquiries and hosting customer visits as required.⢠Report monthly performance KPI's including quality, Health/Safety/Environment, costs, production volumes and customer service.RequirementsPerson Specification⢠Proven background at Head of Operations/Operations Director level in world class food/beverage, consumer/FMCG manufacturing business.⢠Self-starter with proven ability to inspire people with a vision and lead the organisational culture change to achieve that vision.⢠Experience of leading a world-class manufacturing operation in Africa is preferable but not a pre-requisite. You will though have experience of delivering a significant change agenda in numerous, economically less well-developed countries.⢠High personal standards and a track record of driving compliance with those standards.⢠Dynamic and articulate; able to relate to people at all levels of the organisation and bring instant gravitas/credibility and respect to the role.⢠Proven track record of developing and empowering people to increase the capability of a large organisation.⢠Proven record of taking full responsibility for the P&L of a factory-based processing business.⢠Good relationship building skills with customers and local management,⢠Performance oriented, familiar with continuous improvement techniques (e.g. Kaizen, Lean)⢠Impressive verbal and written communication skills.⢠Culturally aware; able to understand and manage the motivations of stakeholders.⢠Strong on management processes e.g. planning, performance management.⢠Champion Finlays purpose and values.BenefitsCompetitive salary + benefits
