Context of the role
  • We are at an exciting stage of our tech development: growing our internal tech team, developing relationships with our tech vendors, and delivering a range of impactful and dynamic projects for girls at the forefront of the tech-for-good space.
  • To help us deliver our varied tech portfolio, we’re seeking a Senior Digital Delivery Manager well-versed in Agile methodologies to join our team. This role requires someone who is technically adept, possesses excellent leadership qualities, and excels in vendor and budget management. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of delivery managers, ensuring the effective planning and execution of digital projects, while also personally managing select initiatives and their associated vendors.
  • We are looking for a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a small team of delivery managers and projects. You will work closely with the technology team, vendors and internal stakeholders to build product roadmaps and strategies, manage budgets, and maintain a roster of technology consultants and agencies.
What you will doLeadership & Team Management
  • Create and own Girl Effect’s technology vision and roadmap
  • Guide and mentor a team of delivery managers, promoting a culture of continuous growth and collaboration
  • Foster a strong Agile culture, ensuring the team adheres to Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies
  • Collaborate with HR to identify training needs and opportunities for team growth
Vendor & Budget Management
  • Build strong relationships with technology vendors, facilitating clear communication and collaboration
  • Negotiate contracts and project agreements, ensuring the best value for the organization
  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial discipline
Agile Project Delivery
  • Drive the successful completion of digital projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals
  • Guide the team in utilizing Agile principles and practices to enhance project delivery
  • Personally manage select digital projects, ensuring they’re executed on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Proactively identify and address potential risks and challenges
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure project objectives align with the organization’s goals and mission
  • Provide consistent updates to stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and milestones
Technical Oversight
  • Leverage your technical expertise to inform decisions related to platform selections, integrations, and other digital considerations
  • Stay updated with the latest digital trends, integrating innovations that support our mission and objectives
Who you are
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of digital project management experience, with a proven track record in the non-profit or media sectors
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams, vendors, and budgets
  • Strong technical acumen, able to guide decisions on digital platforms and tools
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and technologies, and their application in the non-profit sector
  • Experience managing vendor and partner relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that enable organizations to achieve their goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organization
  • A genuine passion for our mission and the positive impact we’re making on the lives of girls
