About the Role:Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of ICT is a senior management role and part of HACO's executive leadership team.The Head of ICT will oversee processes, and technologies within HACO IT organization to ensure they deliver outcomes that support the goals of the business. The job holder will play a key leadership role in the critical strategic, technical, and management initiatives that mitigate threats and drive business growth.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement ICT Strategy in close collaboration with the Board and management.
  • Advice the management on critical IT transformation strategies and champion its implementation
  • Develop, track, and control the Company's IT annual operating and capital budgets based on an excellent understanding of the business, the operating context, and supporting future business and IT needs.
  • Championing the digital transformation strategy internally and externally to drive both employee and customer adoption.
  • Design and oversee HACO's technological infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and ensuring that full IT support services are consistently available e.g Cloud services, Internet & Network, Telephony, Microsoft & E-Banking System.
  • Take responsibility for the development and implementation of HACO IT Security in accordance with the information management, cybersecurity protocols, and ensuring HACO meets any statutory requirements on IT and Cyber Security and Data Protection.
  • Ensuring that the disaster recovery plans are in place and are tested regularly.
  • Develop Innovative IT Projects that add value to the business.
  • Establish and manage Software Development related projects directed towards strategic business and other organizational objectives.
  • Prioritize mission-critical projects that establish business growth in an efficient manner.
  • Lead in identification of potential IT related risks and proactively develop appropriate control measures.
  • Ensure current systems users and vendors are compliant with relevant legislation and HACO IT policies.
  • Document, manage and report on IT risks continually.
  • Manage all ICT assets and systems.
  • Build and maintain IT software and Hardware vendor relationships.
The Person
  • Degree in Information Technology or related
  • ICT Professional Certification on networking and/or Infrastructure management will be an added advantage.
  • Certified Information systems Auditor or equivalent certification in IT security.
  • At least 7 years' relevant experience in a busy IT environment; 3 of which should be in an IT leadership position.
  • Practical knowledge in ERP Systems (SAGE) - Installation, Backup and Recovery, Cloning and Administration, Cloud Computing.
  • Practical knowledge in Windows Systems (Windows Server, Office 365and firewalls) and good knowledge in Desktop operating systems (Windows) as well as applications.
  • Management of backup and disaster Recovery Plans
  • Experience in IT project management and implementation.
  • Experience in IT security and Managing IT risks.
  • Team player
