We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced House Manager to join a private household. This is a dual-role position combining structured childcare support with high-standard household management. During weekdays, the role focuses on maintaining an organized and well-run home while the child is in daycare. Mornings, evenings, and weekends require attentive, nurturing childcare, ensuring the child’s safety, development, and well-being.Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining all living areas.
- Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces are consistently clean, organized, and hygienic.
- Manage laundry for the household: washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization.
- Monitor household supplies (cleaning materials and toiletries) and support in inventory tracking and restocking.
- Support morning routines, including dressing, feeding, and preparing the child for daycare.
- Provide attentive evening care: feeding, bathing, and engaging the child in age-appropriate developmental activities (reading, play, learning exercises).
- Offer full-day childcare support during weekends (based on an agreed schedule).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the child at all times.
- Monitor the child’s well-being and apply basic first aid where necessary. Prepare daily meals, with a focus on Indian cuisine (e.g., dal, sabzi, roti, and rice), following family preferences.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Assist with meal preparation, including ingredient prep for evening meals.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of food items and kitchen equipment.
- Experience: 2–5 years in a similar role (nanny, house manager, or domestic worker), preferably in structured or multicultural households.
- Culinary Skills: Willingness to learn basic Italian cooking is highly desirable.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
