- The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing the company's Environment, Health & Safety framework across all projects and operational sites. This role supports safe execution of telecom and engineering activities by ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and a strong safety culture among field and office teams.
- The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, contractors, and field technicians to proactively manage risks and promote safe work practices.
- Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and standards across all operational sites
- Conduct site risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, statutory requirements, and company safety guidelines
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and EHS awareness training for staff and contractors
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation including permits, reports, audits, and compliance records
- Monitor use of PPE and enforce safe work practices at all times
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution
- Track safety KPIs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct environmental monitoring and ensure proper waste management practices
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent professional certification preferred
- 2+ years' experience in EHS, preferably within telecommunications, construction, or engineering projects
- Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and incident investigation procedures
- Experience working in field/technical environments (towers, fiber, construction sites, etc.)
- Strong report writing, documentation, and analytical skills
- Ability to conduct training and influence safe behaviors across teams
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites
