- Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of 2–4 Sales Representatives to exceed targets
- Run regular sales huddles, pipeline reviews, and field coaching sessions
- Implement incentive structures and performance improvement plans to drive accountability
- New Business Development
- Drive acquisition of new B2B & B2C clients, focusing on highvolume shippers (SMEs, ecommerce, manufacturers, wholesalers)
- Personally lead negotiations for key corporate and strategic accounts
- Develop territory plans to maximize coverage across Nairobi and surrounding areas
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Maintain deep knowledge of Kenya’s courier and logistics landscape
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and service offerings (lastmile, sameday, freight)
- Share regular insights with Operations and Pricing teams on market trends and customer needs
- Pricing & Commercial Strategy
- Collaborate with Operations to develop competitive, customized proposals
- Apply strong understanding of cost drivers (fuel, delivery zones, weight brackets) to ensure profitable pricing
- Customer Experience & Retention
- Ensure high service standards postsale to minimize churn
- Act as escalation point for key client issues, working closely with Operations for swift resolution
- 4–6 years’ experience in logistics/courier/freight sales (Kenyan market)
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
- Proven success in acquiring new business and closing highvalue deals
- Strong understanding of logistics pricing models (volumetric weight, surcharges, lastmile costs)
