- Achieve the monthly sales targets arising from member recruitment and increasing the Society's portfolio.
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain effective customer service to be able to meet clients' expectations.
- Achieve timely development of sales proposals, presentation, and reports.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Collection of feedback from members at various networking forums that could be used for business leads and improve product and service offering.
- Participate in marketing activities and events.
- Analyse the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports.
- Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum level of academic qualification for the role:
- Holders of a Diploma in Business related field or its equivalent from a recognized university.
- Relevant degree and membership with relevant professional body is an added advantage
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience and in a similar position.
- To proactively identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks within the SACCO to ensure safe operations, protection of members' funds, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability of the organization. This should be in line with SASRA guidelines, Cooperative Societies Act and all other relevant rules and regulations.
- Develop and execute a risk management strategy while monitoring the SACCO's strategic plan to prevent, reduce, and mitigate all risk aspects.
- Monitor internal and external risk factors and ensure regular review and maintenance of the organization's Business Continuity Plans
- Identify emerging risks arising from current and new regulations, new and existing products and services, diverse customer segments, and transactional channels.
- Evaluate identified and potential risks to determine their likelihood and potential impact.
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain risk registers in compliance with SASRA guidelines, the Cooperative Societies Act, and all other applicable regulations
- Development and implementation of a risk monitoring and Reporting Framework which includes strategies to mitigate and control risks
- Conduct risk assessments for both proposed and existing units/branches across all risk categories.
- Develop and present risk reports to management and the Board of Directors outlining risk exposure and recommended mitigation strategies
- Work closely with internal audit and compliance teams to review and strengthen internal control systems.
- Promote a risk-aware culture within the organization by educating staff on risk management policies and best practices.
- Any other duty that may be assigned by the Management and Board of Directors.
Minimum level of academic qualifications required for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field from an accredited and recognized institution
- Successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya by obtaining the necessary documentation.
- A professional qualification in risk related certifications/CPA K/ACCA
- Professional certifications in Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or ICA Certifications, or Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Professional Risk Manager (PRM), or IRM Certifications, will be an added advantage.
- A registered member of ICPAK or relevant professional body
- Experience in working for regulated financial institutions.
- At least 5 years' experience in risk , audit and compliance functions.
- The Credit Analyst will be responsible for independently assessing credit risk and serving as a proactive risk assessor in line with the SACCO's credit policy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements for all loan applications prior to processing and approval.
- Independently assess credit risk and evaluate the financial performance of borrowers through income analysis, cash flows, debt obligations, guarantor strength, and collateral adequacy.
- Apply quantitative and qualitative risk factors to determine appropriate risk ratings for loan applications and portfolios.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive credit appraisal and risk review reports with recommendations for approval, decline, restructuring, or deferment.
- Act as a mandatory independent risk gate for all loan applications prior to approval and processing.
- Identify early warning indicators, policy breaches, concentration risks, and emerging credit risks, and recommend appropriate mitigants.
- Escalate policy exceptions, high-risk exposures, restructures, repeat top-ups, and large facilities to the appropriate approval authority
- Conduct independent risk reviews and provide expert feedback during the structuring of credit facilities.
- Present credit risk opinions, residual risks, and recommendations to the management to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor and report on credit limits, borrower exposures, sector concentrations, and portfolio performance trends.
- Contribute to periodic credit risk and portfolio reports through timely and accurate data submission.
- Contribute to the development and review of credit risk management policies, procedures, and underwriting standards.
- Ensure accurate capture and maintenance of credit data within the core banking and credit management systems.
- Train new loan processing assistants to equip them with knowledge and skills to effectively perform their roles.
- Any other duty that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya by obtaining the necessary documentation.
- Must have a Professional certification in CCP (Certified Credit professional)
- A professional qualification in risk related certifications/CPA K/ACCA
- A registered member of ICPAK or relevant professional body
- Experience Credit Analysis in regulated financial institutions.
- At least 3 years' experience in credit management
- To support execution of corporate communications, digital content, and public relations while ensuring consistent messaging and safeguarding the SACCO's brand and reputation.
- Draft and disseminate internal and external communications (circulars, notices, newsletters, member updates).
- Support preparation of official communication materials (speeches, briefs, key messages).
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all communication channels and maintain standardized templates.
- Assist in managing and updating digital platforms (website, member portal, mobile app, social media).
- Assist in developing and scheduling content aligned to SACCO products and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor digital engagement metrics and prepare periodic performance reports.
- Draft press releases and assist in coordinating media engagements and interviews.
- Maintain and update media contacts database and track media coverage.
- Support communication with members, stakeholders, regulators, and partners.
- Assist in coordinating communication for SACCO events, campaigns, and stakeholder forums.
- Ensure adherence to corporate branding, regulatory requirements, and communication standards.
- Prepare and submit monthly communications reports to the CEO and management covering digital performance, media coverage, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain communication records and escalate sensitive matters to management as appropriate.
- Any other duty that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- Successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya by obtaining the necessary documentation.
- Professional certifications in communications, digital marketing and public relations
- Professional qualification in Public Relations/Communications (e.g., CIPR, IPRSK)
- A registered member of relevant professional body is an added advantage
- At least 3 years' experience in communications, public relations and digital marketing
- Experience communications and public relations in regulated financial institutions.
