- Store and retrieve medical records
- Prepare clinics for daily operations
- Update the bed bureau
- Edit patient case records
- Capture data from service points
- Maintain record safety and confidentiality
- Balance daily bed returns
- Prepare and maintain the Patient Master Index
- Create and update the Patient Master Index
- Direct patients to relevant clinics
- Schedule patients to consultants and specialty clinics
- Assign codes to diseases and surgical procedures
- Index diseases and surgical procedures according to the International Classification of Diseases and Procedures in Medicine
- Compile medical records reports
