- Build and launch campaigns in platforms like HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign.
- Write subject lines, body copy, and CTAs tailored to audience segments.
- Design responsive templates that align with brand guidelines (HTML/CSS edits when necessary).
- Maintain databases of 20k–200k+ contacts.
- Segment audiences by persona, lifecycle stage, engagement level, and geography.
- Clean lists regularly (remove hard bounces, spam traps, inactive users).
- Build drip sequences, abandoned cart flows, and behavioral triggers.
- Test workflow logic to ensure automated campaigns run correctly.
- Monitor inbox placement and sender reputation using tools like Litmus, GlockApps, or Postmark.
- Manage domain health, DNS/SPF/DKIM settings, and suppression lists.
- Ensure campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, copy, CTAs, and send times.
- Analyze metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion, unsubscribe).
- Iterate campaigns based on data insights.
- Build weekly/monthly dashboards with campaign performance.
- Track revenue attribution by integrating ESP data with Google Analytics, Looker, or CRM dashboards.
- Present findings and recommendations to sales/marketing leadership.
- Strong balance between creativity and data-driven analysis.
- Excellent copywriting and attention to detail.
- Technically capable of solving deliverability and ESP configuration issues.
- Organized and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- 2+ years professional email marketing experience.
- Proficiency in at least one major ESP (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp).
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (segmenting, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS for email templates.
- Managed email programs for 50k+ contacts.
- Familiarity with deliverability monitoring tools (Litmus, GlockApps).
- Industry exposure in SaaS, e-commerce, or professional services.
- Experience integrating ESPs with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Plan and build campaigns, writing copy and designing templates.
- Segment audiences for precise targeting and improved relevance.
- Monitor deliverability and maintain clean, healthy lists.
- Launch automated workflows that nurture leads and re-engage inactive users.
- Analyze performance metrics and test variations to improve engagement.
- Report results to stakeholders, translating metrics into actionable insights.
- Open rates ≥ industry benchmark (20–40%).
- CTR ≥ 3–5%.
- Conversion rate improvements over time.
