Operate the overhead cranes to move coils, materials, and equipment as directed as per standard & safety operating procedures
Perform daily pre-operational checks and report any issues or malfunctions.
Coordinate with ground personnel for safe lifting, loading, and unloading operations.
Ensure correct slinging techniques and load balance before lifting.
Adhere to safety procedures, load limits, and plant operating guidelines.
Maintain clear communication via radio or signals with team members.
Document crane usage, movements, and any incidents in the logbook.
Participate in routine maintenance and inspections when required.
Assist with basic troubleshooting of crane systems under supervision.
Assist 6S (cleanliness and orderliness) for crane cab and operating area.
Attend to any other duty as assigned by the shift Engineer.

RequirementsQualifications and experience required:

KCSE Certificate
Certificate in Plant Equipment Operation or Trade Test
Licence in overhead Creane Operations
At least 1 year experience operating overhead remote controlled cranes
Training in safe operation of overhead cranes is an added advantage
