Kenya is a premier oil marketing company committed to playing a leading role in ensuring energy security for the African continent.LPG Shop AttendantPosition Overview:The LPG Shop Attendant is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the LPG shop, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This role involves handling customer inquiries, assisting with LPG cylinder exchanges, ensuring product availability, and adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines related to LPG storage and handling.Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide guidance on LPG cylinder exchanges, ensuring customers receive the correct products.
  • Address customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively.
LPG Handling:
  • Ensure the proper storage, handling, and exchange of LPG cylinders in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Check the condition of LPG cylinders before filling or exchanging, ensuring they are in good condition.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the shop area, ensuring proper ventilation and compliance with safety standards.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the Supply and Commercial team of low stock levels.
  • Ensure all LPG products are appropriately labelled, stored, and rotated.
  • Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of new stock.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards for handling and storing LPG cylinders.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure the shop complies with safety codes and environmental regulations.
  • Report any safety concerns or violations to management immediately.
Cash Handling:
  • Process customer transactions accurately, including cash, card, and mobile payments.
  • Ensure correct pricing and accurate billing for LPG products.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in sales, preferably in the LPG, or Oil and Gas industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills high level of honesty and integrity.
  • Basic arithmetic and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of LPG safety guidelines and handling procedures.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office is an added advantage
