CDL was founded in early 2003 by its current Managing Director Lucy Mmari.Within her 14 year tenure in a well established logistics company, She honed her skill in human resources management and thereafter started CDL.Production AssistantKey Responsibilities:The Production Assistant will Support the day-to-day Operations; including, but not limited to:Co-ordinating Pre-Production:
  • Setting and Attend all Meetings with Clients and Partners, to circulate Notes, prepare action Plans and track progress.
Developing Creative Concepts:
  • Responding to Briefs with quality, experiential Proposals, via Presentations and Cost Estimates.
Production Planning:
  • Breaking-down approved Concepts into detailed Set Designs, Floorplans, Running Orders, Scripts, Costs Estimates and Production Plans, including Cast, Crew. Wardrobe, Props, Hospitality and Logistics.
Co-ordinating Partners:
  • Sourcing, Briefing, Contracting, Rehearsing and Dry Running with professional Performers and Technical teams (i.e. stage, Set, Lighting, Sound, Audio-Visual, Videography, Photography, Décor, Transport, Venues, etc).
Budget Monitoring:
  • Sourcing, Negotiating and Filing of all Expenses according to the approved Cost Estimates via Purchase Order from clients.
Measurement & Evaluation:
  • Reviewing every Item in each Production, according to Successes, Challenges, Learnings and Actions, which is documented for Continuous Improvement.
Improving Systems:
  • Developing and Refining SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), plus Contributing to internal Training and Knowledge-sharing.
Co-ordinating Content:
  • Sourcing and Management of Slides, Visuals, Music, Materials, Branding, etc.
RequirementsThe ideal Candidate will bring both Passion and Precision to the Role

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Production, either Television and/or Stage.
  • Minimum of 2 years Experience in Production, including Proposals, Stage Designs, Floorplans, Cost Estimates, Workplans, Scripting, Content management, Talent Management, Stage Management, Quality Assurance, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Best Practice for Event Production and/or Multimedia Production.
  • Obsessive Attention to Detail (OAD), paired with Design Thinking and Creative Problem-solving.
  • Communication and Presentation skills, with the Ability to Confidently engage Clients and Partners.
  • Resilience, Positivity and Calmness in resolving Challenges.
  • Ability to work Ethically, Productively and Independently, including Remotely, using collaborative Tools (e.g. ClickUp, Teams, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc).
  • Teamwork, with experience Collaborating with diverse Clients, Colleagues and Partners.
  • Flexibility to Work varied Shifts, including Evenings, Weekends and extended Hours, when needed; as well as the Ability to Travel at Short Notice.
