BASED AT: Nairobi KenyaJob Summary:The Solutions Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions that meet business requirements. The role includes working closely with software engineers to translate functional requirements into system designs, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and well-architected. The position requires both strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of software design principles.Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to align with evolving business needs.
- Translate complex business processes into system workflows, use cases, and specifications.
- Work closely with software engineers to define system architecture, data flows, and integration logic.
- Support the development team during the software design phase by clarifying requirements and identifying technical constraints.
- Assist in debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex system issues.
- Collaborate with QA and product teams to ensure testing aligns with functional goals.
- Create and maintain process maps, data models, and interface documentation.
- Participate in design and code review discussions to ensure business and technical alignment.
- Provide system-level support and troubleshooting for production systems when escalated.
- Recommend improvements in system functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Provide mentorship to junior analysts and support continuous improvement of analysis methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in a systems analysis, business systems, or technical analyst role.
- Understanding of system architecture, relational databases, and integration principles.
- Experience working with APIs, SQL queries, and basic scripting or configuration languages.
- Familiarity with system development life cycle (SDLC) and change management practices.
- Proficiency in using tools for documentation, workflow mapping, and data analysis (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Excel).
- Experience with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, BI platforms).
- Exposure to cloud environments and integration tools (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of data security, compliance, or IT controls.
- Technical Collaboration – Effectively supports developers in system architecture and troubleshooting.
