development and review of investments and loan recovery policies, monitoring and evaluation of the existing investments and recommending appropriate strategies; and managing the credit risk on the loan portfolio in the most profitable and cost-effective manner in line with KDC objectives.Duties and responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing customer centric strategies based on market needs;
  • Identifying opportunities to initiate viable projects;
  • Identifying project funding options;
  • Evaluating the viability of the investment opportunities;
  • Identifying and mitigating key project risks;
  • Monitoring the implementation and operation of projects;
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in projects;
  • Managing the projects portfolio;
  • Developing and implementing strategies for attracting and retaining prime clients;
  • Preparing investment performance reports;
Person SpecificationsFor a candidate to be appointed to this position, they must have; * At least ten (10) years' relevant work experience six (6) of which must have been in a management position;
  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Business, Economics, Engineering, or any other relevant field from recognized institution;
  • Master's degree in any relevant field from a recognized institution;
  • Certified qualification in any of the following; Financial Analyst (CFA), Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA), Public Accountant (CPA (K) or Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA (UK) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Member of a relevant professional body;
  • Management course will be added advantage;
  • Financial modelling and analysis skills;
  • Proposal writing skills;
  • Excellent business acumen;
  • Excellent negotiation, and communication skills;
  • Team development, strong leadership and managerial skills;
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
