- Responsible for coordinating talent development initiatives across the University.
- Participate in the designing for implementation of employee, leadership and organizational development initiatives cutting across various areas, including: manpower planning, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, career development, organization design, leader and team effectiveness assessment, change management, cultural alignment, compensation
- Review University wide emerging capabilities gaps and devise means to address medium to long-term skill requirements.
- Provide guidance and advice on appropriate organizational structures to maximize organizational effectiveness. Define roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities. Perform job evaluations and grading studies to ensure these meet strategic business needs.
- Establish and maintain an organizational culture and climate that enhances employee engagement and productivity within the workforce. Instill strong work culture and ethics among staff and create a healthy working environment.
- Conduct workforce and employee exit studies, to develop strategies for employee engagement, staff wellness and culture.
- Support the implementation of performance management across the University. Assist line managers in linking and cascading performance contracts and developing KPI's to track performance, working closely with strategy and planning function.
- Utilize workforce analytics to drive change, enhance employee engagement to inform HR decisions and policy making across the University.
- Develop and maintain a fit for future succession pool for the University.
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Relevant professional qualification
- Member of a relevant professional body
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience
- Executive disposition and demonstrate high levels of integrity.
- Ability to develop long-term integrated and cross-functional operational plans.
- Ability to operationalize strategy into action for the function.
