- Assist in ensuring compliance with EDCA's internal financial procedures and donor regulations
- Support the preparation and organization of internal and external audits
- Participate in updating and maintaining internal control checklists and risk documentation
- Help ensure timely filing of statutory returns (NHIF, NSSF, PAYE, etc.)
- Assist in updating budget tracking tools and monitoring spending against budgets
- Help prepare financial reviews of procurement requests and payment vouchers
- Participate in monitoring burn rates and producing monthly spending summaries
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Assist in verifying and coding transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Help consolidate donor and project-specific financial reports
- Organize and maintain financial documentation for audits and donor reporting
- Assist in updating the fixed asset register and supporting inventory reviews
- Help maintain organized filing systems for contracts, receipts, and accounting documents
- Support office supply tracking and administrative purchases
- Provide administrative support to finance staff during meetings, audits, and trainings
- Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable s/he to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures and conduct her/himself in a manner consistent with EDCA's Child Safeguarding Policy.
- Recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
- CPA Part II or higher; knowledge of QuickBooks Online is an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and uphold confidentiality
- Passion for community service and working in the non-profit sector
