Duties
  • The Program Assistant (PA) will serve as International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)/Nairobi’s Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR) and Grants Officers’ Representative (GOR), with Contracting Officers (CO), Grants Officers (GO) and the INL Program Office in the oversight and management of the contracts and grants funded by INL. The PA will also assist in other programmatic support. The PA reports to the Security and Counter-Terrorism Unit Chief within the Political Section, with INL in Washington DC providing guidance about INL issues.
  • The position reports to INL Director or Designated
Requirements:Option 1.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.
  • EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in business management, International Relations or Project Management is required.
OROption 2
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.
  • EDUCATION: 2 years of College/University studies
OROption 3
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have intermediate computer knowledge in MS Office Suite, and other proprietary software such as International Vetting and Security Tracking System (INVEST), Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS), ILMS End-Use Monitoring, ILMS ARIBA Spend Management. Knowledge of clerical and office administrative processes required, as well as an understanding of Embassy protocol and processes.Education Requirements:Option 1.

  • EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in business management, International Relations or Project Management is required.

  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.

OROption 3
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8 years of progressive administrative work, or similar work requiring strong organizational skills is required.
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma
Evaluations:LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing of English is required.SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong writing and reporting skills, as well as typing and numerical skills, organizational and follow-through skills are necessary to be successful in position. Ability to deal tactfully with USG, host country and other officials required.
