  • Act as a liaison between clients and audit firms.
  • Oversee and review the preparation of audit packages.
  • Perform quality control and finalize audit packages prior to release.
  • Implement audit findings and ensure compliance.
  • Review, analyze, and finalize annual budgets and recommendations.
  • Review, finalize, and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Provide insights on financial performance and trends.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed according to the scope of work.
  • Manage staffing needs across the client portfolio.
  • Serve as the point of escalation and resolution for the client team.
  • Escalate leadership changes, scope adjustments, or financial concerns to department leadership.
  • Manage multiple clients virtually and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Advise executive leadership on financial strategies and initiatives.
  • Track progress toward financial goals and identify trends.
  • Present financial analysis, recommendations, and insights to leadership teams.
  • Participate and present in Board meetings.
  • Serve as escalation point for service and delivery issues across the portfolio.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial management.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams or overseeing project work.
  • Prior experience working in nonprofit organizations is required.
  • Experience working in schools or socially responsible organizations is required.
  • Previous experience managing multiple clients or projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Anybill.com, QuickBooks, Intacct, FundEZ, or similar accounting software.
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or Paychex.
