- Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform and oversee laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, ensuring accuracy, reliability and timely delivery of results in accordance with established standards.
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, biochemistry and serology.
- Analyze and interpret test results and report findings accurately.
- Ensure proper collection, handling, processing and storage of specimens.
- Implement and adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and hazardous materials.
- Adhere to hospital policies and ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
- Valid practicing license.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience(internship included).
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is an added advantage.
