Job detailsGeneral informationReference number 2024-1232Job detailsProfileTechnical & Services - Operation Technical MgrPosition titleTyre Department Manager M/FContractUnlimited-term contractContractual hoursFull-timeMission descriptionJob PurposeThe purpose of this role is to develop the Tyre Business Unit in a profitable and sustainable way through definition and implementation of the distribution, Sales and management in line, with the overall CFAO Motors Kenya strategy.Main ResponsibilitiesManagerial & Technical Responsibilitiesa) Develop a strategy for the unit and follow through on its implementationb) Effectively control and monitor costs and revenues for growth & profitability.c) In-charge of forecasts and revenue projection for the respective businessd) Manage the department's Commercial team (Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain) to enable them to achieve the short and mid term results associated with its mission.e) Provides leadership and coordination of the team and set both individual and Company Goals to maximize performance.f) Appropriately coach, Identify training and development needs & support professional & career growth of the team.g) Develop customer value proposition and service including internal partner needsh) Seek and manage resources to enhance profitabilityi) Conduct frequent analysis of demand for services and influence stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.j) Act as a change champion and act as a single point of contact for stakeholders while facilitating relationships profitablyk) Define, develop and deploys the Go-to-Market approach based on the business planl) Manage processes & prepare periodic business performance reviewsGovernance & Business Steering Responsibilitiesm) Supervise channel pricing policy for fairness and consistency between channelsn) Organize and supervise the commercial steering process for the entity (Volumes, Revenue, Margin, Market Share, Commercial Expenses, Sales Team Productivity)o) Arbitrate pricing and supply decisions between customers and channelsProfileKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceMinimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the rolea) Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field from a recognized institution.b) Knowledge and Experience in Tyre business will be an added advantage.Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the Kenyan or larger Africa MarketsCompetenciesTechnicala) Strong fleet, trucks and tyre experience Knowledgeb) Strong track record in a sales role & team managementc) Forecasting and budgetingd) Knowledge in Automotive Industrye) Relevant product knowledgef) Working knowledge of Kenyan law and legislationg) Experience in Network & Dealer Distribution Channel Management.Functionala) Report writingb) Presentation skillsc) Benchmarking and evaluationJob locationJob locationAfrica, KenyaLocationNairobiApplicant criteriaEducation levelBachelor or equivalentExperience level11 to 15 years
