At Dalberg Data Insights, we democratize AI access for impactful organizations by:1. Designing AI/data strategies and solutions
2. Providing AI literacy training to our clients and partners

For more information, please visit .ABOUT THE DATA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMDalberg Data Insights is looking for three Data Fellows who can join the team. As a Data Fellow, you will become an active member of a team that is working on an ongoing project and learn first-hand what it takes to build impactful data solutions. You will rotate between different project management roles, gaining a unique perspective on how different functions contribute to the success of a project, thereby receiving a unique overview of how different functions operate within a successful project. The Data Fellowship program will help you to discover your strengths and use them to grow into the job that fits you best. As entrepreneurship and creativity is highly valued at DDI, we also encourage Data Fellows to drive their own initiatives related to data for development.Employee Value Proposition:The Data Fellowship program is designed to help you:

What Success Looks Like:While full-time employment is not guaranteed following the 6-month fellowship, we aim to offer permanent positions to fellows who excel in the program. You value diversity.SCOPE OF POSITIONAs a Consulting Data Fellow, you will:
  • Become an active member of project teams.
  • Gain hands-on experience in building data solutions.
  • Rotate between project management roles, understanding different functions' contributions.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Domain knowledge:
  • Understanding of the social impact sector and its unique challenges and opportunities. Familiarity with the needs and pain points of both public and private sector clients in the social impact space.
  • Technical skills:
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for effective data communication.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies and their practical implementation in product development.
  • Product management:
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving to develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills to pitch ideas, present findings, and lead internal meetings.
  • Work authorization in Kenya or Uganda.

  • 0-2 years of experience working with digital solutions.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms, understanding their application in decision support tools.
  • Understanding of data engineering principles for data collection, processing, and storage.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies for iterative development and responsiveness to change.
  • Project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles to ensure user-friendly product designs.
  • Strong presentation skills to pitch ideas, present findings, and lead internal meetings.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, understanding and adapting to their evolving needs.
