Applicants to be holders of either a Master's degree in any of the following fields: Planning,
Architecture, Geo-Spatial Engineering, Surveying or any other relevant area from a recognized
Learning Institution plus five (5) years' experience at the level of Senior Technologist grade 8/9/10
(DEF OR Bachelor's Degree any of the following fields: in Planning, Architectural Studies,
Architecture degree OR a Higher Diploma in any of the following fields: Cartography, Mapping,
GIS or any other relevant area from a recognized learning Institution plus seven (7) years'
experience at the level of Senior Technologist grade 8/9/10 (DEF).Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will among other assignments be expected to supervise technical non-
teaching staff, participate in research activities in collaboration with academic staff, organize and
supervise practical's for both post and undergraduate students. The successful candidates will
also among other assignments be expected to be in charge of the technologists in the CAD and
GIS computer lab, conduct student practical sessions/demonstrations and research activities,
carry out basic maintenance of laptops, computers, printers and digitizers in the CAD and GIS
computer lab, organize and take students for field mapping exercises, ensure CAD and GIS
computer lab equipment are in good working conditions, organize students management
information systems. Carry out spatial data analysis and maintain the teaching and research
spaces and CAD and GIS computer lab within the Department.NOTES1. Applicants should email their application letters, certified copies of certificates and curriculum
