- Ensure there is transparency and integrity in all procurement processes
- Ensuring planning, and procurement procedures are adhered to while purchasing goods/ services.
- Ensure a continuous flow of timely availability of quality inventory to the retail store facilities to meet business needs.
- Coordinating the drug mappings for all providers across the country.
- Ensure the drug formulary is updated by conducting a market survey on drug prices from suppliers in their region in the master supplier database.
- Ensuring all specifications in the purchase requisitions are captured in the requests for quotations and subsequently in the purchase order.
- Maintain up-to-date records for all procured goods and services, including approved budgets and supporting documentation: purchase requisitions, quotations, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and related documents.
- Track issued orders to delivery and payment and ensure both internal/external customers are well-updated on the progress.
- Preparation and sharing of procurement dashboard reports/weekly status reports.
- Contract management and supplier management
- Liaise with the legal team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies in the preparation of Service Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Drafting of framework agreements and other related agreements for preferred suppliers.
- Ensuring that periodic (semi-annually) performance evaluation for service contracts is done as per the service level agreements.
- Participate in preparing prequalification documents and performance appraisals for prequalified suppliers.
- Coordinate vendor performance management review using the approved institutional tools and participate in decision-making based on the evaluation.
- At least 6 years of relevant procurement experience, within the retail or pharmaceutical industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience in public health supply chain systems, stakeholders, and networks in developing countries, especially in Africa.
- Knowledge of SAP or relevant ERP systems is required.
- Solid experience in Demand & Supply Planning, S&OP facilitation, and S&OP implementation, ideally from the healthcare industry.
- Fluent in the English language with excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Experience in the health domain either working with multinational pharmaceutical companies, clinician settings, Tech, or other healthcare services is a plus.
