Job Description
- Providing a work environment that is conducive to office clients;
- Facilitating work of the officer one is assigned to;
- Typing routine letters, memos and reports from drafts and manuscripts; Processingdata; preparing and writing responses to simple routine correspondence;
- Operating office equipment;
- Ensuring the security of office equipment, documents and records;
- Attending to clients;
- Filing documents; receiving, recording and dispatching mail,
- Handling telephone calls, diary and appointments;
- Handling routine office duties;
- Cross-referencing correspondence;
- Reporting on any need for office repairs;
- Requisition for office stationery;
- Managing office imprest;
- Arranging for meetings and handling confidential documents.
- For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- At least four (4) years cumulative relevant work experience;
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
- Typewriting (minimum 50 w.p.m)/Computerised Document Processing
- Shorthand (80 w.p.m)
- Business English II/Communications

- Proficiency in computer application skills.
