- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood and Development Education or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance results.
- Registered with TSC
- Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of ECDE Policies and Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
- Ability to coordinate and supervise ECDE programs and staff.
- Understanding of Relevant Laws:Basic Education Act 2013,County Governments Act 2012,Kenya Early Years Learning Framework (KELF).
- Participate in implementation and review of Education Policies and strategies;
- Coordinate proper implementation of ECDE curriculum;
- Facilitate inspection and supervision of ECDE centers;
- Assist inspection and supervision of co-curricular activities for ECDE
- Conduct training needs assessment;
- Prepare reports and submit to relevant authorities;
- Coordinate training, mentoring, and evaluating ECDE teachers;
- Do research and disseminate information on ECDE development issues;
- Coordinate development of regulations on establishment of new ECDE centres in the County;
- Plan and coordinate ECDE Programmes;
- Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
