- Align HR strategies with academic goals by collaborating with Heads of Schools and department heads.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior academic staff, providing guidance on workforce planning, policy interpretation, and organizational change.
- Assist in drafting and managing the academic HR budget in line with school financial objectives.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process for academic staff, ensuring high-quality hires and a fast turnaround.
- Drive initiatives to improve faculty well-being and engagement to maintain a stable retention rate (target attrition below 10%).
- Harmonize performance appraisal tools across schools, transitioning current systems toward the Enko model.
- Conduct training needs analyses and facilitate professional development opportunities (workshops, seminars) aligned with Enko’s quality standards.
- Coordinate and implement the first formal performance reviews for Heads of Schools and their Deputies.
- Manage faculty grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters with high emotional intelligence and fairness.
- Serve as a champion for Child Safeguarding policies, ensuring all staff understand their duty of care and welfare responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate faculty records and oversee administrative functions such as health insurance schemes and staff welfare activities.
- Leverage HR data and digital tools (Personio/MZZ) to generate reports on metrics like turnover, diversity, and satisfaction to support executive decision-making.
- Expertise: You have at least 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role where you regularly interacted with C-level leadership.
- Certification: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, and you are a member in good standing of the IHRM (CHRP Kenya).
- Mindset: You are a "plug-and-play" professional—empathetic yet assertive, with the ability to stay calm and effective in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
