
Deputy Community Relations Coordinator at Victory Farms

- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent Victory Farms in community engagements, negotiations, and consultative meetings
- Serve as the primary link between the company and local communities, ensuring continuous and respectful dialogue.
- Monitor and manage community sentiments, expectations, and grievances.
- Assist in identifying and negotiating suitable sites for expansion activities.
- Support stakeholder mapping, documentation, and agreement processes for new project areas.
- Address and manage emerging community issues, tensions, or crises promptly and effectively.
- Escalate sensitive matters and support conflict resolution in coordination with senior management.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and reporting of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
- Ensure that CSR initiatives align with community needs and company goals.
- Track CSR impact, manage CSR records, and promote visibility of community development contributions
- Plan and coordinate community events, outreach programs, and awareness campaigns.
- Support logistics, mobilization, and documentation for all public-facing activities.
- Support the execution and follow-up of community development projects and programs.
- Maintain records of stakeholder interactions, project files, agreements, and correspondence.
- Conduct data collection, entry, and analysis to support monitoring and evaluation of community activities.
- Prepare regular reports on community feedback, CSR progress, and stakeholder engagement.
- Liaise with other departments such as Operations, Administration, and Security to ensure integrated community relations strategies.
- Assist other teams with stakeholder inputs and local intelligence.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Relations, or a relevant field.
- Proven Experience (3+ years) in community relations public relations, stakeholder management, field work or CSR implementation or a similar role.
- Possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in Kenya and a deep understanding of the local context are highly valued.
- Knowledge of local community dynamics, cultures, and customs in Kenya.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and with marginalized communities is desirable.
