Participant Identification and Mobilization
- Mobilize, profile and verify youth participants, especially young women, in the mariculture value chains.
- Collaborate with local actors and service providers to engage target participant groups especially women and youth led units/MSMEs.
- Conduct participatory needs assessment to create tailored training plans for various actors.
- Coordinate technical skills development on production, processing, post-harvest handling and value addition, where relevant.
- Deliver training on enterprise development, recordkeeping towards improved cooperative management.
- Conduct needs assessment, inputs identification and compilation for procurement.
- Ensure appropriate inputs are delivered,and distributed to target participant groups.
- Monitor utilization of the inputs towards improved productivity, coaching the users on efficient utilization.
- Ensure active participation of women and youth in leadership and economic opportunities.
- Track and report disaggregated data to address specific barriers to finance and market access.
- Identify and refer local service providers to deliver technical assistance as well as other related support functions.
- Facilitate linkages between youth participants and off takers; onboard traders onto digital platforms.
- Organize buyer-seller forums and exposure visits to meet regional market requirements.
- Support planned assessments and data collection focused on participant onboarding, capacity building and progress towards improved incomes.
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection using Kobo Toolbox or other digital tools.
- Submit:
- Regular activity and monthly field progress reports.
- Monitoring reports from Community Facilitators and service providers. o At least one (1) documented success stories or case studies per month.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Lattice's safeguarding, gender inclusion, and protection policies.
- Conduct regular safeguarding refresher sessions for Community Facilitators and partners.
- Proactively identify and flag risks for attention to the project manager, executing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all field activities adhere to project SOPs and donor requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Fisheries/Aquaculture, Agribusiness, Rural/Community Development, or related social sciences.
- 3-5 years of field project experience, especially in fisheries, aquaculture or agribusiness.
- Proven ability in community mobilization, particularly engaging youth and women and supporting cooperatives/MSMEs.
- Skilled in technical training and capacity building, including ToTs in production, post-harvest handling, value addition and basic business management.
- Experience in market systems experience, including creating market linkages and connecting smallholders to off-takers.
- Able to travel to remote sites and adapt to local contexts
