The Endowment Officer, under the guidance of the Director, shall be responsible for:
  • Establishing the Endowment Office structures, including systems, processes, and operational frameworks.
  • Developing and implementing endowment-related policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures in alignment with University statutes and governance structures.
  • Providing financial and technical support in the formulation and execution of endowment fundraising and resource mobilization strategies.
  • Coordinating endowment financial planning, budgeting, investment tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, audit requirements, and risk management standards applicable to endowment funds.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records of endowment contributions, investments, and fund performance.
  • Preparing periodic performance, compliance, and impact reports for University Management and the Board.
Qualifications and ExperienceThe position requires a finance-oriented professional with the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • At least five (5) years of working experience in fundraising, development work, partnerships, or resource mobilization.
  • Strong analytical, financial reporting, and policy implementation skills.
