
Finance Analyst at UN-Habitat

- The consultant will support UNITAC work and the Data and Analytics Unit, under the direct supervision of the head of DAU and UNITAC. She/he will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Contribute to programme and project development through performance and financial management and monitoring as well as evaluation of internal and external processes towards the advancement of the Unit's and project goals and objectives.
- Prepare interim and final financial reports for UNITAC and DAU grants.
- Regular review of the budget forecast and co-funding expenditure levels; ensure expenditure rate as per agreement requirements. d. Contribute to strategic planning; preparation of progress reports; compiling relevant information; and identifying and synthesizing best practices and lessons learnt directly linked to Programme objectives.
- Organize workshops and consultations and prepare relevant background papers.
- Contribute to programme and project development through performance and financial management and monitoring as well as evaluation of internal and external processes towards the advancement of Research Branch goals and objectives.
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in commerce or any other related field.
- Knowledge of the UN common system is a requirement.
- Additional technical training in the field of office management and administration is an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the field of budget management and administration.
- Knowledge of the UN common system and UMOJA SAP is a requirement. Additional technical training in the field of office management and administration is an asset.
