- To supervise HVAC projects, ensuring we complete the project on-time, with no re-work and within the budget
- Supervise large projects and create detailed projects schedules.
- Ensure the technicians are working based of an approved working drawing.
- Give strict deadlines to installers and ensure they are being met.
- Value engineer project to minimize material usage.
- Provide regular updates as per the progress of the projects.
- Ensure all projects are completed within the stipulated deadlines and keep costs of installation down to a minimum whilst not compromising on the quality of workmanship.
- Maintain and create healthy working relationships with all the key individuals in the HVAC industry i.e. consultants, architects and mechanical engineers.
- Provide excellent technical support to clients.
- Ensure no material stock outs during installation.
- Receive variations for any increase or change in scope.
- Raise monthly valuations encompassing all works done.
- Ensure Hotpoint receives monthly certifications for the maximum value.
- Ensure there are no re-works by maintain a high installation quality.
- Ensure technicians have a clarity on what works are to be done on a daily basis.
- Receive a handover certificate on completion of the project.
- Assist the service sales engineer to get Annual Maintenance Contracts for completed projects.
- Randomly visit a minimum of sites and provide a detailed quality control report.
- Handle any customer complaints received promptly and come up with preventive measures
- Any other duties as may be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.
- Minimum qualification of BA or Bsc. Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
- Current registration license from the Engineering Board.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer in the same industry for over 3 years.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practises and project performance standards.
- Experience in operational management of large-scale installations would be preferable.
- Extensive knowledge of solar/air conditioner installation principles/practices required.
- Experienced dealing with subcontracts or self-perform work.
- Experience in leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external parties.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good networking skills.
- Teamwork-ability to contribute and operate with ease within the team.
- Delivery / performance orientation.
- Paying great attention to details.
- Informed and up to dateon the ongoing projects in country and follow up for business.
