Senior Security Officer – KMFRI Grade 6 at Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI)

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: –
- Develop and ensure implementation security strategies, policies and procedures
- Liaise with security agencies to ensure security of assets and operations
- Participate in the coordination of emergency procedures and contingency planning
- Identify potential security threats
- Coordinate investigation of internal security breaches
- Maintain records of crimes and incidents
- Oversee security surveys and inspections
- Advise management on security related matters affecting operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminology or its equivalent from recognized university
- At least three (3) years relevant work experience;
- Service in the Police Force or Military
- Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks, or equivalent, from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated results in work performance
- Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
- Strategic thinking
- Organizational skills;
- Communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;
- Interpersonal skills.
- Basic Salary Scale: KShs. 87,098 - KShs. 113,228 P.M.;
- House Allowance: KShs. 35,000 P.M.
- Commuter Allowance: KShs. 9,000 P.M.
- Annual Leave Allowance: KShs.8,500 P.A.
- Medical Cover and Other Allowances: As provided by KMFRI
- Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
