Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
  • Develop and ensure implementation security strategies, policies and procedures
  • Liaise with security agencies to ensure security of assets and operations
  • Participate in the coordination of emergency procedures and contingency planning
  • Identify potential security threats
  • Coordinate investigation of internal security breaches
  • Maintain records of crimes and incidents
  • Oversee security surveys and inspections
  • Advise management on security related matters affecting operations.
Requirements for AppointmentFor appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology or its equivalent from recognized university
  • At least three (3) years relevant work experience;
  • Service in the Police Force or Military
  • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks, or equivalent, from a recognized institution
  • Demonstrated results in work performance
  • Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;

  • Communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;
  • Interpersonal skills.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Basic Salary Scale: KShs. 87,098 – KShs. 113,228 P.M.;
  • House Allowance: KShs. 35,000 P.M.
  • Commuter Allowance: KShs. 9,000 P.M.
  • Annual Leave Allowance: KShs.8,500 P.A.
  • Medical Cover and Other Allowances: As provided by KMFRI
  • Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
