More information on CrossBoundary Access can be found at .Job DescriptionAccess is recruiting a full-time Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial performance of our distributed renewable energy portfolio, while playing a key role in shaping new projects. Team members come from diverse backgrounds, but share a number of qualities: relentless curiosity, extreme ownership, a laser focus on results, and a bias for action.Who You AreSelf-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change in AfricaPioneer who is excited to work with new technologies and innovationsCreative thinker with an ability to craft non-traditional and innovative solutions to practical problemsCan build strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environmentsEmpathetic and thoughtful leader that can drive performance within a multi-disciplinary teamComfortable with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing, challenging contextPrimary ResponsibilitiesOwn the P&L for Access’ growing portfolio of operating projectsManage new and existing partnerships with local operators to ensure commercial and technical excellence, while ensuring contractual targets are metDesign, review and improve commercial strategies and processes to drive profitabilityPresent key commercial insights and recommendations to leadership and shareholdersAct as the focal point between different disciplines within the Access team, including Engineering, ESG, Legal, Finance, and Operations to drive commercial successManage Access’ Technical and Operations teams and provide strategic advice to Access leadership teamQualificationsRequired skills and qualifications:6+ years of experience in operating, financing, or consulting on renewable energy projectsExperience with off-grid generation projects in AfricaStrong verbal and written communication in EnglishThe ideal candidate will also have the following skills and qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering fieldStrong quantitative skills; familiar with valuation, project finance, and financial models for renewable energy projectsFamiliarity with project finance legal contractsProfessional proficiency in FrenchThink you have what it takes but are not sure you check every box?
