- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Environmental Health.
- Certificate of competence from the Association of Public Health Officers (where applicable).
- Valid practicing license from the Public Health Officers & Technicians Council.
- At least 2 years’ post-registration experience (depending on requirements).
- Identify and analyze environmental health issues within communities.
- Implement and monitor sanitation, hygiene, and disease prevention standards.
- Carry out disease surveillance and outbreak response activities.
- Manage community health education and awareness, including campaigns.
- Support mass immunization and other public health initiatives.
- Compile records and data on health trends and interventions.
- Collaborate and represent at interagency health coordination forums.
- Mentor and support community health workers and trainees.
- Execute additional duties as directed by supervisors.
- Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
