The successful candidate will drive revenue growth and client acquisition across Anglophone markets in East and West Africa, leading on strategic partnerships and enterprise sales across banking, retail, and fintech sectors.Your daily adventures include:Territory Development & Sales Execution:
  • Own the full sales cycle across a portfolio of next-generation financial solutions including BaaS, PaaS, issuer & acquirer processing, and embedded finance products.
  • Target tier-2 banks, corporates launching financial services, and high-growth FinTech’s.
  • Build and execute a territory plan to exceed annual new logo and ARR targets.
Client Engagement & Solution Selling:
  • Engage C-level stakeholders and product teams to define use cases (e.g. cards, wallets, lending, collections).
  • Conduct ROI-led solution workshops, craft proposals, and manage commercial negotiations.
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement:
  • Develop and manage partnerships with schemes, processors, regulators, consultancies, and technology vendors to enable co-sell and referral opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Brand Visibility:
  • Represent the business at industry events and forums.
  • Provide structured market feedback on competition, pricing, regulation, and opportunities.
Governance & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Ensure compliance with internal sales governance.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on technical due diligence, demo builds, and implementation support.
RequirementsWhat it takes to succeed:
  • Minimum 7 years of enterprise or solution sales in payments, banking infrastructure, or embedded finance.
  • Proven ability to close multi-year platform deals in at least two countries in East or West Africa.
  • Understanding of card issuing/acquiring, mobile money, ACH/real-time payments, core banking integrations, and regional regulatory frameworks.
  • High EQ, entrepreneurial spirit, challenger sales mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to work independently across diverse markets.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related. MBA a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
  • Fluent in English. Portuguese or Swahili is advantageous.
