To lead technical sales efforts for tractors and associated equipment, design and execute sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and coordinate with service teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.JOB ADVERT: SENIOR SALES ENGINEER – TRACTORS & RELATED EQUIPMENT
Our Client is a leading equipment and machinery provider known for supplying, maintaining, and supporting agricultural and industrial equipment across Kenya. The company specializes in tractor and related machinery solutions, offering after-sales service, technical support, and on-site assistance to ensure optimal performance and reliability for customers in the region.Key Responsibilities
a) Develop and execute quarterly and yearly sales/marketing plans in collaboration with leadership.
b) Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and converting them into
orders.
c) Provide technical pre-sales support, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions for tractor and
related equipment.
d) Manage customer relationships, respond to inquiries, and ensure high levels of customer
satisfaction.
e) Build and maintain a robust customer database; target VIP customers and dealers monthly.
f) Coordinate with workshop/technical teams to perform demos and ensure seamless handovers
post-sale.
g) Prepare and issue quotations; process trade documents and follow up on inquiries.
h) Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and respond with appropriate action plans.
i) Train customers and internal teams; develop and implement training plans as needed.
j) Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.Requirements Qualifications
a) Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
b) Experience: At least 4 years in a mechanical/electrical engineering or sales-facing role in the
equipment/tractor sector.
c) Certifications: Valid practicing certificate or relevant professional certifications.
d) Age/Health: +26 years; good health; professional appearance and demeanor.Skills
a) Strong technical knowledge of tractors and agricultural implements
b) Proven sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
c) Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities
d) Ability to synthesize customer needs into practical solutions
e) Self-starter with goal-oriented mind-set
f) Proficient in CRM, quotations, and simple financial literacy
