- This Commercial Banking role focuses on driving regional business growth through comprehensive relationship management and business development. The position serves as the primary relationship owner for commercial banking clients across the region, with direct responsibility for managing key accounts and supporting regional SME teams.
- The core responsibilities center on customer lifecycle management – from acquisition and retention to growth and satisfaction – while maintaining operational efficiency. The role requires generating business pipelines, preparing credit documentation, conducting annual reviews, and producing portfolio reports.
- Key operational areas include overseeing client engagement strategies, account planning, marketing activities, and coordinating across various banking services (credit, transactional banking, global markets, investment banking, and business solutions). The position demands strict compliance with policy requirements, proper documentation, portfolio monitoring, and risk management including AML/KYC compliance.
- Additionally, the role involves coaching and mentoring client service officers and stakeholders to help them achieve performance targets and advance their careers. Sector-specific experience would be beneficial for this position.
- In essence, this is a senior relationship management role that combines business development, client portfolio management, team leadership, and operational oversight to drive commercial banking growth across the region
- Bachelor's Degree in business related field.
- Master's Degree will be an added advantage
- Professional Qualification CPA, ACCA, Credit Management, Customer Relationship Management Course.
- Above 10 years' banking experience in sales, customer service and relationship management, 5 of which should have been in a senior management capacity within SME, Commercial & Corporate Banking.
- Credit skills and knowledge of Commercial Banking products and policies.
- In-depth knowledge of the local banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations. Sound working knowledge and understanding of general Commercial Banking regulations and practices.
