- Development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans for projects and programs.
- Design and and lead the adaptation of monitoring tools and data collection instruments, ensuring alignment with project objectives and indicators.
- Conduct data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
- Enter, clean, and manage data in monitoring and evaluation databases or systems.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and prepare dashboard to support prompt decision making purpose.
- Participate in field visits to project sites to monitor activities, verify data, and document progress.
- Provide logistical support for monitoring and evaluation activities, including organizing meetings and workshops.
- Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Support capacity building initiatives for project staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards related to monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensure proper documentation of M&E activities including filing reports, data collection tools, and other relevant documents for easy reference.
- Any other duties as maybe assigned by your supervisor.
- Diploma in a relevant field such as social sciences, statistics, or international development.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or research activities is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software.
- Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to design impactful dashboards and compelling graphics. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a proactive team player.
- Interest in learning about monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili (additional languages, particularly relevant to the organization's field of work, is an asset).
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to work in multicultural environments.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for field visits and project activities.
