- Identify new business opportunities and proactively engage potential customers
- Lead growth efforts in Eastern Africa
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Prepare and follow up on technical and commercial quotations with support from the South African back-office.
- Drive sales of capital equipment as well as aftermarket services (repairs and maintenance).
- Respond to technical tender requests and participate in project proposals.
- Build strategic relationships with consultants, contractors, end-users, and distribution partners.
- Ensure consistent and strategic customer visitation and follow-ups on quotes, tenders, and service commitments.
- Complete accurate and timely sales reporting (weekly and monthly).
- Contribute to strategy development for the region, working closely with the Africa sales team.
- Conduct site visits for troubleshooting and basic technical support when required.
- Present technical solutions to customers and conduct training sessions
- Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in technical sales, preferably in industrial solutions or capital equipment
- Proven experience in doing business in the East African region
- Proven track record of growing a multinational brand within the industrial sector in East Africa
- Demonstrated success in business development, key account management, and project-based sales
- Experience engaging engineers, procurement teams, and technical managers
- Familiarity with vacuum pumps, blowers, or comparable technologies is advantageous
- Background in industries such as food and beverage, packaging, medical, power generation, wastewater, or oil & gas will be beneficial
- Experience in managing independent operations, distributors, and remote territories is a strong advantage
- Strong computer literacy: MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP/CRM tools (Pastel or similar) advantageous.
- Strong commercial and technical acumen.
