  • Under minimum supervision, develops, coordinates, promotes, maintains and evaluates special events, programs, and projects with the Turi Alumni, with a focus on developing means by which to engage alumni through the common bonds of St Andrew's School, Turi. A key part of the role includes supporting the School's development goals through strategic fundraising initiatives targeted at the alumni community.
Key ResponsibilitiesAlumni Engagement
  • Develops, coordinates and evaluates programs and projects to promote alumni relations.
  • Plans, coordinates, and attends events, meetings, or other activities as requested by St Andrew's. This may include alumni and volunteer recognition banquets, receptions, homecoming, and reunions.
  • Serves on committees relating to alumni relations and acts as liaison between St Andrew's and the Old Turian alumni association. Acts as the secretariat for the Old Turian alumni association.
  • Identifies, cultivates, and stewards alumni and volunteers. Helps current volunteer leadership to identify potential new volunteers and future leadership.
  • Coordinates and produces reports, proposals, and analyses for management, including monthly budget to actual reviews, periodic data reports, and post-event evaluations.
  • Develops, sustains, and strengthens alumni chapters focused on maintaining connections through events, projects and programs.
  • Collaborates with internal staff to engage alumni through academic and geographic initiatives.
  • Coordinates with staff across St Andrew's to promote events and alumni engagement opportunities.
  • Represents the organization at various community and/or business meetings, committees, and task forces; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
Development and Fundraising
  • Supports the School's fundraising strategy by building and nurturing relationships with alumni as potential donors and advocates.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of targeted fundraising campaigns, appeals and giving days specifically focused on the alumni community.
  • Identifies, qualifies, and helps to steward alumni prospects for major gifts, legacy giving, annual giving, and special campaigns.
  • Coordinates alumni involvement in fundraising initiatives including peer-to-peer fundraising, class giving programs, and reunion giving efforts.
  • Collaborates with the Advancement/Development team to align alumni relations efforts with broader school fundraising objectives.
  • Gathers and maintains accurate data on alumni giving capacity and philanthropic interests using appropriate CRM systems and tools.
  • Works with the Communications and Marketing teams to develop compelling messaging and content that motivates alumni to give back to the School.
Minimum Education Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Experience in donor stewardship, prospect identification, and alumni fundraising.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate special events with a focus on engagement and philanthropy.
  • Ability to design and write promotional material with fundraising goals in mind.
  • Ability to develop, prepare, and deliver effective programs, seminars, and workshops relating to alumni relations and fundraising.
  • Competence in using fundraising databases/CRMs and producing detailed analytical reports.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.
