- Define and Manage the Product Roadmap: own the product roadmap by clearly defining business requirements, user stories, success and acceptance criteria, and priorities to ensure the team delivers maximum value.
- Development of Product prototypes, all practice guidelines and tools and leading the teams through product testing to proof-of-concept completion.
- Take Roadmap items through Define, Discover, Deliver, Enhance Processes
- Provide detailed recommendations for product features, enhancements, and integrations, with a focus on improving customer outcomes.
- Develop, track and own product success criteria and business case.
- Own the Product Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision that aligns with business goals and customer needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, gathering input, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment.
- Participate in all team ceremonies and wider ceremonies i.e. Standups, Showcases, Townhall, Increment Planning
- Preparing executive and regulatory reporting showcasing delivery progress
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related queries, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Collaborate with the Development Team: Work closely with the technology team throughout the sprint to provide and clarify business requirements, make decisions, oversee user testing and accept completed work.
- Brings Customer and Consumer data closer to the team
- Ensure Product Features factor in customer needs including organizational needs
- Measure and Optimize Product Performance: Use data and customer feedback to assess product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and guide future development.
- Set OKRs
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Oversee prototyping and iterative development, providing actionable insights to improve product offerings.
- Develop training materials and deliver sessions to subsidiary teams, enabling them to effectively manage the product lifecycle.
- Supervisory Responsibility
- Oversee four product associates (2 per country)
- Leads and coordinates work of subordinated staff including but not limited to: recruitment, performance management, training and staff development.
- Delegates tasks accordingly and coordinates tasks deliverables in time.
- 3-5 years of experience in Product Manager or digital Product Manager, ideally in a financial inclusion, microfinance, or emerging markets context
- Demonstrated experience developing and launching customer-facing financial products (e.g., loans, savings, wallets). Familiarity with lending products, digital financial services and inclusive fintech solutions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including tech, compliance, risk, and field operations
- Exposure to or collaboration with low-income customer segments and field-based user research-specifically group lending and productive credit
- Strong grasp of Agile product development and experience working in agile product teams preferred
