- Bank Reconciliations - banking of cheques, posting entries on Zoho Books, Monthly bank reconciliation
- Posting, analysing and reconciling petty cash transactions.
- All Accounting entry postings
- Handling accounts payable and receivable.
- Generating invoices and account statements
- Statements - sending monthly statements to all customers on email and follow up for payment
- Customer account reconciliations and solving any discrepancies.
- VAT - Manual verification of VAT report monthly and submission of VAT Return
- Management Reports - Sales Summary, Cashflow forecasts, VAT Forecasts, ageing/debtors report
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Preparing supplier payments and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance and reconciling supplier accounts
- Performing account reconciliations for supplier, credit card and more
- Processing the monthly payroll and ensuring salaries are paid on time
- Statutory Payments/Processing (PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, VAT, Witholding taxes)
- Maintaining staff records and ensuring all records are up to date
- Assisting with management accounts, cash-flow projections, budgeting and forecasts.
- In charge of yearly financial audit: Preparing and co-ordination for all requirements from external auditors
- Ensuring all internal control processes are adhered to.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field &/or ACCA Part 1 & Part 2 completed.
- Minimum 3 years working experience as an accountant
- Proficient in relevant accounting software. Experience with Sage Software will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
