- Set up accounts for Kofa Kenya, in collaboration with the Financial Accountant and CFO.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and file statutory returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE, corporate tax) in accordance with Kenyan regulations.
- Support the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist in cash flow management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, investor requirements, and audit processes.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax consultants, banks, and suppliers.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making by the Financial Accountant, CFO, and wider leadership team.
- Support process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in financial operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification or progress towards one (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit, ideally in a high-growth or start-up environment.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax, accounting, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
