- Lead and be the custodian of all key financial, accounting, fiduciary, compliance, controls and risk mitigating responsibilities. Lead the accounting team effectively.
- Lead, control and oversee the budgeting, accounting, cash flow management and ensure timely, accurate and efficient reporting, audit and compliance.
- Provide timely strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board of Directors to support informed decision-making, ensure financial sustainability, and drive long-term organizational growth.
- Support medium- and long-term business strategy development. Direct strategic and financial plan implementation, support or oversee certain shared services and subsidiary plan execution to achieve business objectives and targets.
- Ensure timely and effective engagement with investors, auditors, financial institutions, regulators, legal and tax advisors, and other strategic partners.
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads to align budgets with overall strategic goals.
- Develop financial models to assess long-term growth scenarios such as market expansion and capital expenditure investments.
- Monitor and report on budget vs. actual performance on a monthly basis, providing variance analysis and recommending corrective action on key deviations.
- Design and maintain KPIs and financial dashboards to support Board and CEO-level reviews (e.g., EBITDA margins, working capital ratios, departmental spend efficiency).
- Lead quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders to evaluate financial performance and re-align budget priorities.
- Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and the company's investment strategy to ensure operational stability and growth.
- Coordinate group-wide forecasting, business planning, and financial scenario modeling.
- Implement strong internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and support tax planning and compliance across all group entities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Evaluate capital requirements and oversee preparation of investment proposals for Board approval.
- Maintain strong relationships with investors, auditors, financial institutions, regulators, legal and tax advisors, and other strategic partners.
- Represent the finance function in executive leadership forums and contribute to high-level decision-making.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP and financial reporting systems to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Champion data-driven decision-making through improved financial analytics and automation of reports.
- Provide mentorship and capacity building for finance staff to ensure high performance and succession planning.
- Align the finance function's skills and structure to support the company's long-term strategic goals.
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited University and CPA / ACCA or CFA qualification.
- At least ten (10) years’ progressive experience in finance, with at least five (5) years in a managerial role.
- Experience building financial models from scratch, budgeting, scenario analysis and stress testing required.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to engage with senior executives, the Board, and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter. Strong analytical and outstanding strategic, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, complex accounting, communication and people management skills.
- IT Skills: MS Office particularly excel and PowerPoint, accounting software such as Navision, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle.
