- Tasked with implementation of the business plans and the day-to-day delivery of programs and operational support
- Translate the internal Project Management Standards into actionable Program Management to ensure that all projects, both concurrent and longitudinal, are standardized in their execution and quality
- Build Partnership by identifying and creating alignments between organizations and with governments, developing mutually beneficial partnerships across the International and local players.
- Facilitate and lead roundtables on key emerging issues in policy, regulations, compliance amongst others
- Ensure that strategic projects link to broader strategic goals
- Provide external measurement of project's Milestones and drive accountability to deliver
- Execute and manage “checks & balances” for all strategic projects
- Develop proposals and reports to potential donors, partners and seek extension and expansion of the current proposals.
- Responsible for maintaining and drafting contracts with the project's implementors.
- Ensure compliance with the donors' requirements and legal requirements in creating the contracts
- Collect data from members and the ecosystem to enable develop programs, identify opportunities and challenges.
- Ensure adequate and timely communication of Strategic Programs to all the stakeholders
- Synthesize high-level communication to Management and the Leadership team for all Strategic Projects.
- Represent the organization in meetings with high-profile stakeholders and in events
- Ensure strong stakeholder management
- Oversee the effective design, management and delivery of all programming, meeting our obligations to donors and partners while delivering impact for our members
- Propose and develop innovative approaches and programs that help offer solutions or add value to the challenges and identified barriers.
- Lead the road mapping process and drive the analysis of new opportunities and creating a strategic roadmap
- Define the project's requirements and work with the Finance team in procuring the resources.
- Oversee budgetary accountability for projects where required, ensuring alignment and coordination
- Identify potential private and public donors and award opportunities, including new types of funding models.
- Holds a degree from a recognized university or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrates proficiency in digital tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related applications.
- Solid experience in representation with donors, government and internal and external stakeholder with demonstrated track record in business development
- Strong experience in donor reporting, designing, setting up and coordinating, monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment and processes.
- Proven track record of developing strategies, management of programmes achieving key objectives and delivering core outputs
- Experience in the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem will be an added advantage
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is desirable.
- Leadership and Management experience in leading and developing projects.
- Successful proposal writing and program development.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and cooperatively with team members.
- Versatile leader who takes an active role in program design and overarching strategy.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking who is able to go beyond the obvious to spot and take advantage of immediate and long-term opportunities in a way that positions our organization as a credible partner and leader.
- Good planning and prioritization skills.
