- Coordinate the recruitment process including advertising jobs, shortlisting, interviewing, and selection.
- Prepare job descriptions and person specifications.
- Facilitate onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
- Maintain and update employee records, HRIS, and personnel files.
- Prepare employment contracts and ensure proper documentation for all staff.
- Track staff attendance, leave, and absenteeism.
- Administer employee benefits and welfare programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive working environment and company culture.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and engagement forums.
- Coordinate the performance appraisal process across departments.
- Support line managers in setting KPIs and monitoring staff performance.
- Identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and HR best practices.
- Update HR policies and procedures in line with legal and business requirements.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports (e.g. NSSF, SHIF, PAYE).
- Identify training needs and organize relevant training and development programs.
- Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Participate in HR planning aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare periodic HR reports including turnover, absenteeism, and workforce metrics.
- Support management in HR-related decision-making.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a busy work environment, preferably in manufacturing, retail distribution, or logistics
- Member of IHRM is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
