- This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:
- Conducting market research, surveys and analysis;
- Carrying out procurement planning and inventory control;
- Drafting of procurement and disposal programmes, plans, strategies and budgets;
- Compiling pre-qualified list of suppliers;
- Preparing local purchase orders;
- Carrying out stock takes;
- Participating in board survey exercises;
- Assisting in preparing tender documents;
- Participating in tender evaluation process; and
- Drafting notices of award acceptance, rejection and debriefing letters.
- Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Procurement or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
